Dear
Mayport
Council
Navy
Leaguers,
It’s
that
time
of
the
year
again
when
we
ask
you
to
contribute
local
dues
for
the
Mayport
Council
of
the
Navy
League.
All
annual
local
dues
provide
funding
to
support
the
sea
services
and
any
additional
contributions
collected
go
directly
to
funding
our
Sea
Cadet
program.
For
the
benefit
of
our
many
new
members,
I
would
like
to
explain
how
our
Mayport
Council
local
dues
program
works.
National
Navy
League
dues
and
Mayport
Council
local
dues
are
separate
contributions.
Each
Navy
League
Council
in
Florida
requests
additional
financial
assistance
from
each
member
to
help
support
the
activities
of
its
local
Council
through
local
dues
contributions.
Our
annual
local
Council
dues
are
$20
for
each
member
or
$40
for
husband/wife
membership.
These
dues
are
the
lowest
in
the
state.
Conversely,
the
National
Navy
League
dues
are
paid
directly
to
the
Navy
League
of
the
United
States
for
your
membership
in
Navy
League
and
a
small
portion
of
these
dues
is
returned
to
each
council
in
the
form
of
a
rebate.
To
help
reduce
confusion
between
the
two
contribution
types,
please
remember
that
our
local
Council
dues
contributions
are
always
collected
at
the
beginning
of
each
fiscal
year
(January
1
to
December
31).
Your
National
Navy
League
dues
are
based
and
collected
on
the
anniversary
of
the
date
when
you
first
became
a
member.
We
bill
everyone
in
January
for
our
annual
local
Council
dues
contribution.
You
will
get
your
National
Navy
League
dues
notice
at
some
other
time
during
the
year.
Bob
Price
has
volunteered
to
be
our
local
council
dues
collector.
This
is
a
time
consuming
job
and
we
ask
that
you
help
make
it
easier
for
him
by
paying
your
dues
promptly.
This
will
help
reduce
administration
costs
and
immediately
put
your
contributions
to
work
supporting
the
men
and
women
of
our
armed
forces
as
well
as
our
aspiring
sea
cadets.
Also,
keep
in
mind
that
these
dues
are
tax
deductible
and
be
sure
to
request
a
receipt
if
needed.
